Portfolio Tasting

On the 14th of April, WineMason hosted a portfolio tasting for their 2015 list.

There was a self pouring table with a focus on Gruner Veltliner – a line up different regions and styles.

There was plenty from Germany, of course. We offered new vintages and updates from Rheingau, Mosel, Nahe, Rheinhessen and Baden, Riesling, Spatburgunder and more.

Paulo Silva was there to show the new Bairrada and Dao projects from Niepoort. We also tasted some new wines from Spain.

We dipped our toes into the New World, showcasing two relatively young estates in Stellenbosch, De Morgenzon and Glenelly.

This event also provided a chance to sample our growing French list – with the addition of Bordeaux, Quincy and Burgundy.

Guests also tried or expanded choice of sparkling wines – including classic Champagne and sparkling alternatives from Portugal, Languedoc and Germany.

Here’s a brief flavour of the experience…
